The more you listen, the deeper you fall; the more you understand. As of this writing, I think the song is about a woman who has attempted suicide due to her obsessive albeit unrequited love. In my opinion still one of the most beautiful, emotionally-charged songs of the decade.

1. You Cheated Me – Martha Wainwright
Killer chorus of the year. If you didn’t know, the song is about herself and how she disappoints herself at times. Still, who would have thought this catchy pop song would come labeled: “Martha Wainwright”. It’s outstanding in its astonishment and accomplishment. Yeah, so I’m gushing, but I dare you to try and not sing along.
