Remember that song I did called “Now They’ll Sleep” in Apple’s Soundtrack? It’s here. It was done as a joke, right? Well, pal Ryan and I have been recently talking about ambient music and it inspired me to do a new one. All the other songs that I’ve done were using the samples and loops contained within Soundtrack or Garageband. This time I challenged myself by creating my own loops using the keyboard input. In other words, I used my computer keyboard to play keyboards.
After three weeks of playing around trying to get something relaxing and interesting to listen to, may I introduce to you “Poppies”. Yes, still sticking with that Wizard Of Oz naming scheme; however, this time it’s a completely original song (“I made this!”). It’s simple and low-key, but it was a blast to make. Soon you will be floating in a relaxing stereophonic cushion of sleepytimeness. I swear there are no subliminal messages buried in the song. That’s for next time.

Well done Howard. It almost put me to sleep at my desk!
Excellent son I loved it now I would love for you to burn me a disc please. Love ya son and keep up the great work. Mom

Hubs: Well, you’re supposed to listen to it in bed.
Mom: I’ll get that going soon… I hope.
Leslie: Yeah, pretty darn geeky.
