Hey, isn’t this around near your birthday? Oh, wait, maybe that was the Weepies CD release. Ack. I’m out of date. Bring me up to speed and let me know when your b-day is. Remember, you get a free batch of homemade ice cream from ClizBiz!

Also, we should all go to the movies together on 5/25!

The birthday is May 3 and it’s Spider-Man 3 that’s the big movie for my weekend. I have to respectfully decline your offer until the 2nd time I see it as Pirate movies are always a Monkey ‘team-building’ event first.

I only recently – last week – finally got round to seeing Pirates 2, and loved it but the ending was a real not so much cliffhanger as, um, break in the reel. It kind of… just stopped. So I’m glad I’m going to soon get the chance to, er, watch the rest of the film as I didn’t feel the second part was complete in any way… x

I LOVED the first one. The 2nd one left me feeling empty. I hope the 2rd makes up for it. My expectations are lower so there’s a better chance of me being impressed.

I’ll send you a pic of me in full Jack Sparrow regalia — it looked pretty good, matey.

(Also an FYI — I didn’t realize you’ve been posting — every time I checked, that Maintenance post was there at the top so I figured you hadn’t posted anything. Now I’m playing catch up — vs. playing ketchup, which I did in a school play once.)

    Andy & Kevin:
I saw 2 three times in the theaters and really enjoyed it. Yes, it wasn’t as fun as 1, but I just love pirates! I’m telling people I’m hoping it’s like Empire Strikes Back. When that first came out everyone hated it because of the ‘to be continued’ clause. Years later it is highly regarded as the best in the Star Wars series. At World’s End was supposed to come out last December, too, but with the hurricane season two years ago, they couldn’t get it all filmed.

Hmmm, I should put some warning up on that post. Plus it’s going away soon.

Arrgh Maties – I’ve put this up on my blog as well – Didn’t realise you already had it – I just love Pirates – have done since I was a small child brought up on classics like The Crimson Pirate and The Black Swan and of course the Disney Classic Blackbeards Ghost – Hell, I even love Cutthroat Island – so I was always going to love Pirates of the Caribbean no matter how good or bad it was – Thankfully it was good, infact it was very very good and with the added bonus of Johnny Depp in the lead role made it even better – I loved POTC 2 as well and had my kids rolling in the aisles laughing at me – when the Island warrior came out of the trees at Will Turner – I screamed and threw Popcorn everywhere!!! but I’ll admit it is a film that doesn’t really go anywhere because of the ending – you just want to find out what is going to happen next.

I can’t wait for this though – Something to really look forward to seeing – Arrrgh Maties

That’s the same thing people were pissed about with Empire Strikes Back and it is now considered by many to be the best in the Star Wars series.

At least, that’s what I’m hoping.
